We officially have our own TDC Dance Home, which means we will be moving from Isleworth to Teddington into our very own purpose built Dance Studio.

The dream becoming a reality!

From the age of 14, I dreamed about being a Dance teacher and running my own school, a big part of that dream has always been to have a Dance Studio and a creative space for our dancers.  

Over the past year, I’ve been on the hunt for a new hall which has all the availability that we need, however I couldn’t find anywhere in the local area. I started looking for commercial properties in Isleworth and the surrounding areas, and when the Teddington space popped up, I knew it would be our new home.

I have been Dancing in the WERFA since I was 4 years old, so this is a big change for me! After only taking over the school from Mum in 2022, I didn’t think this would happen as fast, however with the current hall becoming less flexible and them requiring the space more frequently, this is the perfect time for us to move!  

It saddens me that for a while now, most of my encounters with the WERFA have been very negative which has made staying there not a viable option. Having our own purpose built Dance Studio means we get full availability of the space and our Dancers get to learn and grow in a professional environment – Dance floor, mirrors, wall mounted Barres ect 

When/ Where?

If all goes to plan, we will be up and running in our new Studio by the end of Feb. I have just received the keys so renovations to turn it into our new Dance home will start this weekend. I will be putting regular renovation updates on our social media platforms so you can follow this journey!  

Getting to our Teddington studio: 

7 Plough Lane, Teddington, TW11 9BN  

The road is just behind the Starbucks which is on High Street, Teddington, TW11 8JD – less than a minute walk onto the main high street.  

Driving – 20 minutes drive from our current hall in Isleworth. Parking is free all down Plough Lane and lots of the surrounding roads. Also lots of paid parking: a small car park just off of the high street and parking along High Street.  

Car sharing – As lots of our TDC families live in Isleworth, I’m sure lots of parents will be up for taking it in turns to do drop offs and pick ups for Dancers in the same classes – if anyone would like to do this but isn’t sure who to arrange with I’m happy to try and help organise between parents, please drop me a message.  

 Public transport routes (from Isleworth): 

– H37 to Hounslow bus garage & then 281 into Teddington. Roughly 30 mins.  

– H37 to St Margaret’s station & then train from St Margaret’s to Teddington. Roughy 30 mins.  

*if anyone finds any quicker routes please feel free to send in here to help other families using public transport. 

Fees

As we are moving to a new area, there will be updated fees and a new timetable. For all existing TDC Dancers, current fees will remain the same for 12 months from when we move and you will receive advance notice for when the switch to the Teddington fees come into action. The new timetable will be available for you to view at Dancing tomorrow – please feel free to take pictures or write down new class times (none of those changes will come into play until we make the move – the temporary Jan timetable is what we are following until Feb half term). Miss Harriet will be at Dancing tomorrow if you’d like to ask any questions.

I really hope this change works for you all & your children are able to continue Dancing with me and the rest of our TDC Family. I want to make the transition as smooth as possible for everyone, so please do message if you’d like to make the move but are finding getting there or coming home tricky as I’m sure we can work out lift shares for local dance families. Please drop me a private message to let me know if you will be continuing on when we move. I will only send out an invoice for the next half term if you can move to Teddington with us.
