Dear Parents,
What a fabulous Summer Term we are having so far, lots of our Mini’s have started their Acro training and having lots of fun with it, our Elite teams did us proud at the last competition and also the word got out about a very exciting addition coming to TDC.
EXCITING NEWS!!
Some of you may have heard the news already but I am very excited to announce I am expecting and due a baby girl in September 2025.
I just wanted to reassure you all that next term dancing will be as normal and I have been in the process of arranging teachers to cover all classes (this doesn’t affect classes already taught by Miss Arzu and Miss Charlotte). I plan on being in class up until the baby arrives, this could obviously change depending on certain circumstances at the time but I’ll definitely be there for a handover period. I will confirm further information very soon.
Thank you all for you lovely and encouraging messages, myself and Nick are taking every little bit of advice on board :-). I am very excited about the next chapter in my life and can’t wait to bring the baby into the studio to say hello. I know I will miss seeing everyone so plan on popping in every now and then.

TDC UNIFORM AND PRESENTATION
This is a little reminder that all students once registered should be wearing our TDC uniform. If you are unsure of how to order any of the uniform please speak to myself or Miss Harriet. Please DM us for the password when creating your account for Squad Dance Wear.
NEW!!! We have added new items to our Uniform collection- all from Squad Dance Wear:
Street Dance: You can now choose from TDC T-Shirt, TDC Black Crop Top and Baby T and also purchase TDC Wide Legged Joggers.
Acro and Jazz: We have added the TDC Black Crop Top to the choice of uniform.
Squad Dance Wear
The Black TDC Iris Leotard is for all students from Tiny Tots to our Seniors: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Conditioning and Acro inclusive. Street Dance uniform is also compulsory.
You will have to register for an account to access the TDC page and don’t worry this page isn’t just for the Elite Team uniform, any student can purchase the TDC T-shirt, Zoodie, Bag, Leggings, Baby T, Joggers, Black Crop Top or Shorts (only the Grey and Black/ Long Sleeved Crop Tops, Pants and Jacket is exclusive to the Elite Teams).

All other uniform for Ballet and Tap classes are to be purchased from tdo.mydancestore.co.uk. Please refer to the menu drop down on the left for your child’s class.
The ordering information for each class is in the Uniform section which includes the links to the online stores.
Every now and then certain classes start to look a bit messy with their hair and uniform (such a shame as over the last few terms I was so impressed with everyone and this made such a difference with progress in class- believe it or not it really does make a difference). All classes except for Street Dance hair should be in a low classical bun and loose hairs pulled back off the face, Street Dance hair should be in a high pony tail with loose hair pulled back away from the face. Correct uniform should also be worn. Going forward I will be monitoring each class. Well done to the Lower School who have been amazing with their presentation, FAB!!

WELL DONE to our Elite Teams who recently competed at ‘Dance Inspirations’ at Leatherhead Theatre, we had some amazing results and looking forward to the Finals in Blackpool in January. Thank you to Miss Naomi for your help on such a busy day.

ELITE TEAM AUDITIONS- SUNDAY 6TH JULY For the first time TDC will be holding Elite Auditions at the end of this. This decision hasn’t been made lightly and isn’t meant to worry the girls but seeing the high standard at competitions this is the best way to ensure our students are confident with their skills. Dancers aged 8+ will audition to gain a place on the team. There will also be a few non-competing places offered for dancers that need a little more time to achieve the skills required. This will enable them to still train with the team and get the hours in to help.
If you have been interested in the Elite Programme for your child please get in contact. A requirement for the Elite Programme is that Ballet classes are taken. The timetable is on the website. Please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to audition for the programme.
Communication at TDC
It is very important we have a correct contact number for you as WhatsApp is currently our preferred choice of communication especially for urgent messages and group messages. We have definitely had more success in reaching parents using this direct messaging service. If you haven’t been receiving any kind of communication from TDC please speak to myself or Harriet.
If we have to suddenly cancel classes for any reason, ie. weather, natural events, illness etc you will receive direct communication from us or always check the website.
Please save our mobile number to your contacts: 07376 397748. Next term I will still be contactable but will be sending out your child’s teachers contact numbers in the event of an emergency. They will also have your details should there be a problem.
We have decided to start sending Invoices and Newsletters via email so please make sure we have an up to date email address for you.

A BIG FAVOUR: TDC would very much appreciate it if you could please leave a Google review for the studio to help boost our presence around the local area. Newsletters
We aim to upload Newsletters to the website a couple of weeks before the end of term. Please check the website for end of term information, e.g. End of term watching.
A link to newsletters will sent via email but it always worth checking the website for any up to date information.
Communication
If we have to suddenly cancel classes for any reason, ie. weather, natural events, illness etc you will receive direct communication from us or always check the website.
We mainly communicate via WhatsApp as we can send out a Broadcast to you all.

Parking close to the Studio
There is free parking down Field Lane and surrounding roads, with a short walk up to the studio. The closest car parks are Cedar Road Car Park and Teddington Station Car Park (Adelaide Road) both a 3 minute walk to the studio. Teddington also has many metred spaces on the main High Road within walking distance of TDC.
Admin/ Office Hours
Next term will be slightly different with office hours on a Saturday so please bear with us.
We are trying to be as cashless as possible. We will of course still accept cash but please be aware change will not be given until the following week. Thank you for your co-operation.
